Set of 2 1988 Hawaii Dala (Hawaiian for Dollar) 1 troy ounce coins in .999 silver. Features Kamehameha the Great as depicted by the historic statue located across King Street from Iolani Palace in Honolulu. The reverse features the Hawaiian temple image that was used by the Hawaiian Alii (Royalty) and Kamehameha before he began his conquest that unified the Hawaiian Islands.
Plastic packaging has caused a slight burnishing on the cheek of Kamehameha on each coin. Reverse sides have a few very light and small toning spots. Fronts do not have any spots.
This is a limited edition of only 10,000 issued by the Royal Hawaiian Mint (RHM). Each Dala is packaged in a flipette with small certificate on the back.
